USGP Statement 19th April 2013
It's with great sadness that we, the organizers of the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross, announce that we have reached the hard decision to discontinue the Series.
The individual races: The Sun Prairie Gran Prix; The Fort Collins Cup; The Derby City Cup; and the Deschutes Brewery Cup will all continue to take place on their scheduled dates but under the ownership of their regional owners. While we are saddened by the conclusion of the Series we invested so move love and passion into building, we are deeply gratified that the races will continue under the stewardship of the very talented teams of promoters who love the races as much as we do.
Finally, we want to thank everybody who helped make the USGP the most joyous and rewarding endeavor we've ever worked on. Thank you to every junior, master and Professional racer who ever took a start. Thank you to every 'cross fan who rang a cowbell while cheering and heckling the racers. Thank you to our Sponsors who made the last seven seasons possible. And thank you to the volunteers, staff and officials who toiled along side us in all kinds of weather to make something so great. We will miss you.
